Review

This is the lesser known of the 2 main Irish bookmakers, and isn’t the one that will let you bet on such events as Oscar Pistorius ‘walking’ or not!  They have a brand new sign up offer which is worth looking at and it is a bit smarter than the average in that they are more likely to retain customers this way rather than offering the usual bet £25, get £25 free and that’s it.  Their other offers are hardly impressive but Boyle do have other qualities, particularly the competitiveness of their odds.  If you look hard enough (or if I look hard enough for you), you will likely find some great value bets, and they actually allow people to have a bet these days, as opposed to years ago when winners were carted out of the door before they had even arrived.

Other Bonuses

Crossbar Challenge

Applies to very select matches only, as advertised on the site.  If either side hits the crossbar AND the ball rebounds back into play then Boylesports will double winnings on all bets on the match as a free bet.  Max stake is £20 with max free bet of £500 per customer.  Customers need to OPT-IN

Opinion

Try as I may I couldn’t find any stats on he number of games where the crossbar is hit and the ball rebounds into play.  But the offer feels a bit gimmicky, the fact that it only applies to a few games a week doesn’t help and I disagree with having to opt-in to any offer – Boylesports if you ever happen to read this then please remove that rule.  The max free bet is a nice size, but you’ll have to hit an unlikely correct score or first goal scorer to get close to that amount. Unless the odds on the particular game are fantastic then it is probably worth giving this one a miss.

Best Odds Guaranteed

Take an Early Price (EP) or Board Price and if the Starting Price (SP) is bigger they will pay you at the bigger price.  Applies to UK and Irish Horse races.

Opinion

If you take a price that subsequently drifts in the market but goes on to win, you will get paid at that higher price.  This offer is standard among mainstream bookmakers and I would go so far as to say that if it is not offered then you should place your racing bets elsewhere.

Football Acca insurance

Place a football acca with 5 legs or more on any Match Betting market and they will refund losing bets where only one leg lets you down, up to a maximum of £/€25.  Each leg must be placed at odds of 1/3 or greater

Opinion

This isnt the greatest Acca insurance offer, there are better ones out there. Punters love to include a few short odds favourites and although still possible here, the 1/3 limit is a bit restrictive (Barcelona at home anyone).  At least there are no other restrictions (apart from the £25 limit which is standard), you are free to bet on whichever leagues you choose.
